Carrickfergus Museum are delighted to be hosting their first Christmas Craft Exhibition, showcasing local crafters and artists from across the borough.
During this festive season, we are all looking for that special and unique gift for our loved ones, and the work on display certainly fits that description.
From the hand-made jewellery of Colleen Douglas inspired by the sea-glass found on the shores of Carrickfergus, to the instantly recognisable landscapes of Tom Stephenson and Sharon Millar there is something here for everyone.
There is a wide range of artists getting involved, some such as Emily Rutzen, Elain Blackburn, Emma Arthur, Lesley Lowry and Christine Patrick exhibiting with us for the first time.
Given the wealth of local talent, there are also the recognisable names of Karen Shaw, Daryll Spence, Charlie Fox and John Houston who were part of the beautiful East Antrim U3A earlier this year, not to mention Joanne Campbell from local group Quadart.
The exhibition is being launched on 30 November at 11am, so please come along for a cup of tea and support your local crafters and artists.
The exhibition runs from 30 November to 4 January 2020 at Carrickfergus Museum and Civic Centre from Monday to Friday: 10am – 5pm and on Saturday: 10am to 4pm
